Case Study – Lauren

How the Chunc One wheelchair transformed Lauren’s daily comfort and mobility

Meet Lauren

Lauren is 20 years old and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in childhood. For most of her life, her mobility and comfort have been a daily challenge. That changed when her family introduced the Chunc One wheelchair, a solution that has improved not only her posture and comfort but also her connection with the outside world.

comfort and function for daily life

Lauren’s daily routine had long been limited by the constraints of her previous seating. The Chunc One, recommended by her physiotherapist and occupational therapist, was chosen for its adaptability and support features.

From the moment she started using it, the chair provided the comfort and stability she needed for everyday activities. It became clear to Ronnie, her father and primary carer, that the chair wasn’t just equipment. it was a reliable companion for Lauren’s independence.

Personalisation, Practicality, and Style

Beyond functionality, the Chunc One allowed Lauren’s family to customise the chair to her personality and living space. They selected a bold pink and black design, giving the wheelchair a stylish, non-clinical look.

The compact design made it easy to manoeuvre in the home, allowing Lauren to move safely and comfortably without disrupting her space.

Fresh Air and New Experiences

Most hours of Lauren’s day are spent in bed, but with the Chunc One, she is able to enjoy 1–2 hours a day in a comfortable, upright position.

During the warmer months, being able to spend time outside together has brought fresh air, connection, and a meaningful boost to the wellbeing of the whole family.
