Keeping your child comfortable, supported, and able to participate in daily activities is important. Sometimes changes happen gradually, and this guide can help you notice if a review of your child’s seating is needed.

Leaning to one side

Your child may be leaning more than usual

Sliding forwards in the chair

They have trouble staying in a proper seated position

Head not supported comfortably

Headrests or supports don’t feel right anymore

Difficulty using arms or hands

Tasks that were easy before are now harder

Tiring more quickly

Sitting feels more exhausting than before

Red marks after sitting

Skin shows pressure points or discomfort

Restlessness or discomfort
